I have taken a long time to come back and start to write again to this blog. Well, I have no excuses and admit that I didn't try hard enough to do this.
We came up with the renewed website after a lot of effort. The effort was not only in pulling in the people to do it but also generate the list of things that make the website. We had to go through a lot of his photographs and scan them. Broadcast requests to people to send us any/all pics they might have had of Mohit and I am glad to put it here that there were people who came back to us.
Switching topics, I had in one of my initial posts mentioned about how Mohit picked up the mouth organ one fine day and spent around 12 hours flat learning it himself. Mind you, he did it without no formal training in music but only relentless efforts into trying to catch the sounds it made when you puff into it at various places and when you pull in. As you can see I can't even explain how he did it so it can be an assumed fact that it is dramatically difficult for one to learn it himself.
When he came to the room I was sleeping in, it was around 0200 hrs in the night and we had to go to school early next morning. Still he was adamant he showed me his skills on the mouth organ and what he did was amazing enough to keep me interested and awake till our mom came into the room with our glasses of milk to ask us to get ready for school.
The following is what clearly reminds me of that night and I hope it shall kindle a sense of closeness to Mohit once you listen to the entire song sung by the legendary Hemant Kumar. Just pay attention to the mouth organ.
