Mohit was hooked to MJ by a common friend, a classmate of mine who came in from London to India due to relocation and was studying in our school. I borrowed a cassette from him which was the first album Mohit ever heard of MJ, and it was "BAD". It is a different story then Mohit went on to buy Thriller, History, Dangerous etc but his all time favourite was "Smooth criminal" much similar to his own persona. The story is not only about how he got addicted to MJ but how he memorised the lyrics.
In those times it was difficult to understand MJ, specially for us since we were new to his vocabulary and it took us a lot of time to understand what he was singing.
Mohit went to GK for some shopping with Mom and Dad and somehow got his hands on a handbook having all the lyrics of MJ's album BAD. It was then he memorised his songs and started to learn his dance steps. He learnt the moon walk, the gyrations, the cap roll etc and became a hit with the family.
At all family gatherings people would request him to dance on MJ's tracks and he always obliged.
MJ was very close to Mohit's heart his entire life, although lately he stared to feel a but detatched with MJ's music which was not so forthcoming and ventured into Metal starting off with Aerosmith, Metallica and GnR and going on to patronize Roger Waters, Jimi Hendrix, joe Satriani and thier likes.
