I did write something about his skills with the instruments and it seems as if the GOD almighty read this and when I was coming to the office I could hear the RJ playing the song "Hai apna dil to awaara" by Hemant Kumar.

Coming back to his musical skills I am sure after you see the following picture you would know that he had this quality of starting early. Not only he was good at playing instruments but he also was a great singer. He sung a lot of songs in school competitions as well as family functions and kept on adding to the list of his admirers. His favourite composer/singer was the great Hemant Kumar, not sure how many people of his age know this name but for those who do it is a known fact that the command he had over voice modulation is unmatched even today and our Mohit used to sing all his songs starting from "Hai apna dil" to "Lehron pe leher".

  1. This post reminded me of the school days when Mohit introduced me to the music of Hemant Kumar and RD Burman. I think I borrowed all possible cassettes from him for recording. It is because of him that I know the old songs like "Lehron pe Lehar" , "Ganga aayen kahan se" and many more.
